Philip Bolton, MD

Philip Bolton, MD, received a medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1995 along with The Dr. William J. Thompson ’08 Annual Prize in Psychiatry and The Dr. Richard J. Bernier Award in Psychiatry. In 1999, he graduated from the Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Oregon Health Sciences University where he was a Chief Resident in Psychiatry. Since 2004 he has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Bolton has provided inpatient psychiatric treatment at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and outpatient psychiatric treatment in a variety of settings. For 7 years Dr. Bolton conducted clinical trials of investigational medications. He was the Principal Investigator for over 20 clinical trials of psychiatric medications and a sub­ investigator in over 40 clinical trials. In 2021 Dr. Bolton joined Cornerstone Clinical Services where he provides psychiatric evaluations and treatment. He specializes in treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Bolton has studied complementary medicine including acupuncture and mind-body medicine techniques. He enjoys spending free time with his family hiking and exploring Oregon.

Alycia Ernst, MD

Alycia Ernst, MD attended medical school at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and following that completed her residency training at MSU where she served as Chief Resident of the General Adult Psychiatry Program. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. During her time in residency, she conducted original research on the emotional benefits of mindfulness meditation and expressive writing. She is trained in a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities, and often utilizes cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and supportive approaches. She is also well-versed in psychiatric medication-management of mood, anxiety, thought, and trauma-related disorders. She is passionate about providing holistic, individualized care to each person whom she works with. This may include psychotherapy, behavioral approaches, medication, or some combination of these. Her particular areas of interest include women’s mental health (including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), integrative medicine, and the intersection of spirituality and mental health.

Michelle C. Gordon-Lown, Psy.D.

Michelle C. Gordon-Lown, Psy.D. is a licensed Psychologist in Oregon. Dr. Gordon-Lown has been in private practice since 2005 working with children, adolescents, and adults and families. Her areas of specialization encompass treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, grief, codependency, adult children of dysfunctional families, low self-esteem, survivors of abuse, relationship issues, and family problems.  In her down time, Dr. Gordon-Lown enjoys cycling, traveling, scuba diving, swinging kettle-bells, camping, and spending time with her husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 goats, and 10 chickens.

Joanna Harberts, Psy.D.

Joanna Harberts, Psy.D, is a licensed Psychologist in Oregon. She has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, providing psychotherapy services to patients in medical and community outpatient services. Dr. Harberts approaches her work from a relational, trauma-informed, and strength-based frame. Her style is warm, collaborative, and supportive. She provides services for young adult and adult individuals. Dr. Harberts’ emphasis on attachment, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy allows for the development of rich insight and the healing of relational bonds that lead to deeper connection. Dawn Hoffman-Gray, Psy.D. is a licensed Psychologist in Oregon. She has been in practice since 1993 in various community, private practice, educational and hospital settings. Dr. Hoffman-Gray specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, ADHD, school and social concerns, low self-esteem, relationship issues, women’s issues, and adjustment to life changes and transitions. She also provides ADHD and educational assessments.  Dr. Hoffman-Gray holds a doctoral degree from the Clinical Psychology program at Pacific University, and received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Oregon.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Brooke Kuhnhausen, Ph.D. is a licensed Psychologist in Oregon. She has worked in university and community settings and teaches and supervises in various graduate programs of counseling. She practices from an integrative approach, incorporating relational, mind-body, and trauma-informed care.  Dr. Kuhnhausen works with adults and young adults, offering both individual and couples counseling from an attachment, systems and Emotionally Focused Therapy approach that focuses on the healing of relational bonds that lead to deeper connection and safety. Her areas of specialization include relationship issues, grief, identity development, family-of-origin issues, depression and anxiety, and spiritual development and care. She also likes to work with people around flourishing, vocation, creativity, and finding their voice. In her free time, Dr. Kuhnhausen loves adventures around the Northwest, music and the arts, and spending time with family.

Carolyn McGurl, Psy.D

Carolyn McGurl, Psy.D is a licensed Psychologist in Oregon. She did her undergraduate studies at Messiah College. Dr. McGurl graduated with an M.A. and Psy.D. from the Clinical Psychology program at George Fox University. She trained in a school system, in the OHSU Neuro Development Clinic, and at OHSU Richmond Family Medicine. Her dissertation is published as a book chapter in “Video and Filmmaking as Psychotherapy: Research and Practice.” Dr. McGurl completed her doctoral internship at Philhaven Psychiatric Hospital in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania. She provides individual and family therapy as well as psychological testing for children and adolescents. Dr. McGurl has particular interest in helping young people to walk through grief. She is passionate about helping families find ways to communicate and to function better. Dr. McGurl loves helping parents/caregivers to better understand their children and to help foster their growth. She works with youth experiencing depression, anxiety, attention and focus issues, adjustment to life changes, and behavioral concerns.  Dr. McGurl enjoys a hike with a rewarding view, trying to maintain the lead on FitBit, spending time with her family, going to the beach, and training for an occasional half marathon.

Cindy B. Nordlund, Psy.D.

Cindy B. Nordlund, Psy.D. is a licensed Psychologist in Oregon. Dr. Nordlund has worked in the field since 1994 in both school and outpatient settings. Populations she serves include children, adolescents and adults. Her areas of specialty include the treatment of all forms of anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, school concerns, women’s issues, life transitions, parental training, grief/loss, spiritual development and faith-based counseling.  Dr. Nordlund completed her undergraduate work at Wheaton College in Illinois and earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University.  In her spare time Dr. Nordlund enjoys playing competitive tennis, coaching high school tennis, reading, horseback riding, traveling, cooking and family time with her husband, two children and extended family.

I am a licensed psychologist in Oregon in full time practice since 1997.  My primary focus is helping couples find healing and connection using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.  In providing individual therapy, I work with adults who are facing issues such as anxiety, depression, relational problems, faith/spiritual issues, grief, men’s issues, and addictions/compulsive behaviors.  I graduated from Wheaton College in 1992 and then earned my  doctorate in clinical psychology from George Fox University in 1998.  Some of my favorite activities outside of work include spending time with my wife and two children, exploring any of America’s beautiful national parks, cheering for college football and an occasional round of golf.

Darcy Nyone, MFT is a licensed professional counselor in Oregon. She has worked in the field since 2009 in outpatient practice working with adults and couples. She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University and received her Bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University. She has completed level 1, 2, and 3 trainings in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and earned an Emergency Responder and Public Safety Clinician Certification. Darcy specializes in anxiety disorders, depression/mood disorders, grief/loss, women’s issues, relationship issues/couples counseling, spiritual development and faith-based counseling. Darcy enjoys family time with her husband, two young children, and extended family; spending time outside; traveling; gardening; and working on house projects.
