Dr. Zachary Buckles, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist in Oregon, holding a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from George Fox University. He has worked in hospital, university, and inpatient substance use treatment settings. Zak works with people presenting with a wide range of concerns including: trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and substance use/ behavioral addiction concerns. He draws from different theoretical approaches, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as brief psychodynamic theory and parts-work oriented theories, with the goal of helping patients come to a deeper, more compassionate, understanding of themselves. Zak is passionate about helping people pursue a greater sense of meaning, integrating existential concerns into therapeutic work and exploring questions of a “life well lived.” When not at work Zak can be found making memories with his young children, sharing food with friends, watching Mariners baseball, and working through his never-ending book list.
