Jana Kukla, Ph.D. Psychologist Resident

Dr. Jana Kukla, Ph.D. is a Psychology Resident from Rosemead School of Psychology working towards licensure under the supervision of Dr. Michelle Gordon-Lown. She earned a B.S. in philosophy from Biola University and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology. Her clinical training includes work with individuals, couples, and groups as well as psychological assessment with both children and adults. She sees individual patients for a variety of mental health needs, including anxiety-related disorders, depression, trauma, identity challenges, perinatal and postpartum challenges, relational or occupational distress, and adjustment to life changes and transitions She also provides ADHD, ASD, and educational assessments.

 

Jana focuses on developing a warm, empathic, and collaborative alliance with her clients while supporting them through strengths-based and client-centered therapeutic care. Her integrative style combines Psychodynamic, Emotionally-Focused, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and she makes an effort to tailor treatment to meet the specific needs of every client.

 

Jana was raised in Portland, Oregon as a first-generation American and college student. She enjoys spending time with her husband, learning about other cultures, getting active through hiking or weight-lifting, and developing her handywoman skills through DIY projects in her free time.
